Words Collect in My Mouth - Early Career Producer Course with Yewande 103, 2023
I was selected for this course from an open call. Yewande 103 is a Black, disabled, survivor-led organisation. This course was led by Nancy Roberts of Yewande 103 this series has emphasised dance production across creative industry contexts with an attention to the ethics of production and access-led practice. We focussed on 4 main areas: The Exchange of Trust and Material Care; Movement, Intimacy and Dance on Screen; Staying with the Unknown; and Practice Based Repair and Belonging.

Next Choreography with Siobhan Davies Dance, 2022
I was selected through an open call to join the 2022 cohort of Next Choreography at Siobhan Davies Studios. Next Choreography is a 3 month training program for people with and without dance experience to experiment with choreography and dance. This course investigates choreography from many perspectives: from performance, visual and sound design to hybrid practices that bring dance into dialogue with activism, technology, architecture and more.

Puppetry Foundation at the Little Angel Theatre, 2022
I attended a 10 week Puppetry Foundation course at the infamous Little Angel Theatre. I learnt the fundamentals of making and handling puppets as well as many performance techniques.

The family behind Seven Star dry cleaners are moving on to new ventures. We have made a film archiving the interior, processes and choreography of the dry cleaners.

Ashley’s Fit Up
In this collaborative project I make puppetry that is then collectively scored to music. I write, make puppets, direct and perform in these works. To date we have written 3 full length works with another commission in the making for 15th July

Fireworks II with Jack Dove at Ormside Projects

This was a very large scale fireworks display where we made musical instruments that were activated by the light from the fireworks. With lines of fuse tape in rows like sheet music I added firework pieces with sellotape onto the fuse like musical notation - we then used light sensitive oscillators so when each firework goes off the instrument vibrates causing a sound.

Life drawing with live music

I teach and devise life drawing with live music sessions as commissions from Eade Studios, N4. The most recent session took the 4 characters from the myth of Persephone as we move from winter to spring. The model was costumed in 4 different ways and the exercises reflected the themes within the story.

Drawing and Movement workshop with BA Drawing

I was invited by Renee Odjidja to devise and deliver a drawing with movement session with 3 others for First Year drawing students.

A group of us worked with the local residents of these disused garages in Sydenham to create an event.

Free Yard, Notting Hill Gate, September 1st 2019

A group show with Joe Tebbutt and Robin Pickering creating and curating site specific works for a 7 room domestic space each. This included an 8 week informal residency in the space prior to the show.
